A Japanese prize-figure brand founded in 1977 as Hoei Sangyo by Yasushi Matsuda, reorganized as Coreland Technology in 1982, acquired by Bandai and renamed Banpresto in 1989, and fully dissolved as a corporate entity in February 2019. The Banpresto name continues as a brand inside Bandai Spirits, covering prize figures, Ichiban Kuji lottery products, and arcade and convenience-store prize merchandise across most major anime and game licenses. The volume-tier figure brand of the Japanese anime industry.
