Clearise is built around translucency. Rather than paint a character solid, the line molds key areas in semi-transparent color so the figure catches and scatters light, giving an aura or an energy effect a glow it could not get from opaque plastic. Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball Z have been its home, where a Super Saiyan's charged hair or a burst of ki is exactly the sort of feature the finish was made to flatter. Under a display light, the effect is the whole point.
