Japan
A Japanese figure manufacturer active through the 2000s and best known for high-articulation Macross Valkyrie / VF transforming figures. The 1/60 VF-1 Valkyrie line launched in 2001 and the 1/48 scale Valkyrie line ran from 2003 through 2007 with limited 2010 reissues, setting an engineering benchmark for fully-transforming Macross mecha figures. In early 2013 Yamato Co., Ltd. transitioned into ARCADIA Co., Ltd. with a Tokyo office relocation, and the figure, ball-jointed-doll, and Macross product work moved to Arcadia's banner inside Japan. The Yamato name no longer ships new product; the Macross VF catalog continues under Arcadia. Successor: arcadia.
