(founded 1955 by Yasuta Sato as Sato Vinyl). Headquartered in Katsushika, Tokyo. Operates the Tomica die-cast vehicle line, the Plarail toy-train system, the Beyblade and Duel Masters game lines, the domestic Pokemon TCG and Pokemon plush and figure programs, the Licca-chan doll line, and the Transformers domestic-market work alongside Hasbro internationally. Parent of Takara Tomy Arts (T-ARTS), the gachapon-and-capsule-figure subsidiary that handles the figure-collector-relevant catalog.
