About this figure family
The earlier Play Arts generation that preceded Play Arts Kai, Square Enix's first run of game-character action figures before the Kai upgrade.
Play Arts -Shin- is where the story starts. Before Play Arts Kai raised the bar on articulation, the original Play Arts line introduced the idea of Square Enix game characters as proper action figures, simpler in joints and finish but the foundation everything since was built on.
