Relax time is Banpresto's take on the off-duty figure: a crane-game prize line that catches characters relaxing rather than fighting, small and seated and dressed in whatever they would actually lounge around in. It opened in January 2021 with a Re:Zero Rem and has run steadily since, its whole appeal in the gap between how a character usually appears and how they look with their guard down.

The wardrobe is the point. Across the line characters turn up in dressing gowns and T-shirts, training wear, office style, school style, the everyday clothes the source material rarely lingers on, and the small seated poses match that low-key register. Re:Zero's Rem and Ram anchored the early run, but the roster has spread wide, the Bleach women, Urusei Yatsura's Lum, the Railgun cast, One Punch Man's Tatsumaki and Fubuki, and a deep bench of Hololive VTubers, whose casual-stream personas suit the format almost too well.

It is part of a broader move toward relaxed-pose prize figures, the same instinct Taito later chased with Desktop Cute, but Relax time got there earlier and kept the lead in sheer volume. New characters keep arriving on the same easy schedule, recent anime like Dandadan and Frieren slotting in beside the long-running Hololive and Re:Zero entries, the line still doing the one thing it set out to do: show a favorite character with nowhere to be.
