Master Grade landed in 1995 at 1/100, built around an idea that reshaped the hobby, an internal skeleton. Where earlier kits were hollow shells, MG gave its Mobile Suits an articulated inner frame under removable armor, so the model held a pose and read as a machine with working parts. It became the enthusiast's standard, detailed enough to reward careful building without the bulk of the largest grade, and the line where Bandai has tried out most of its engineering ideas over the decades.
