Figure-rise LABO is Bandai's attempt to make a model kit rival a finished PVC statue. The line builds non-poseable character figures engineered with layered, translucent skin parts that catch light the way painted resin would, so the assembled piece reads as a display statue rather than a kit. Subjects have ranged from Gundam Build Fighters' Fumina Hoshino to Vocaloid's Hatsune Miku and Evangelion's Asuka, each chosen to show off the skin-layering technique.
