30 Minutes Missions broke from the licensed-model mold in 2019. Rather than reproduce a Mobile Suit from a show, the line offers original mecha designed to be snapped together in roughly half an hour and then freely customized, with parts that interchange across the whole system. The first two designs, Alto and Portanova, came from Kanetake Ebikawa, a mechanical designer known for Full Metal Panic and Gundam 00. The appeal is open-ended, a kit-bashing playground rather than a single character.
