A Japanese hobby retailer operated by Oh-ami Inc. (大網株式会社) and headquartered at Oh-ami Koishikawa Building, Koishikawa 4-21-11, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo 112-0002. Oh-ami's corporate lineage runs from 1906 (founded as a packing-materials wholesaler in Nihonbashi) and 1970 (corporate incorporation), with the Character Merchandise Division established 1997 and the AmiAmi business division / hobby mail-order site established 1999. The AmiAmi operation grew into one of the largest online retailers for Japanese figure-collector merchandise globally, supplemented by physical stores including the Akihabara Radio Kaikan store (opened 2016), the Ikebukuro Goods Store, and the AmiAmi Akihabara Figure Tower (one of Akihabara's largest figure retail spaces, opened 2024). Functions as primary distribution channel for most Japanese figure manufacturers; produces select store-exclusive variants and AmiAmi-branded merchandise alongside the retailer business.
