THE ROBOT SPIRITS, known in Japan as Robot Damashii, made a quiet promise that won a lot of fans: a robot you can pose like an action figure without building a kit. At a friendly size and price it brought Gundam mobile suits and a wide field of other mecha to collectors who wanted the pose and the play without the glue and the panel lines.

It became Tamashii's everyday mecha line, the dependable middle ground between a model kit and a premium diecast piece, and the place many anime robots get their only ready-built figure.
