Revolve is the name the studio carried for its first chapter. Founded as REVOLVE Co., Ltd. in October 2010, it built figures with a reputation for expressive faces and clean sculpt work, enough that in September 2017 Aniplex, the anime powerhouse behind Fate and Demon Slayer, took a majority stake to pull figure production closer to its own properties. Revolve kept making scale figures under that ownership, including a run of Hololive VTuber pieces, until April 2023, when the company rebranded to Claynel. The Revolve name belongs to the years before that change, the foundation the current studio was built on.
