A Japanese toy and figure manufacturer created in July 1997 as a Bandai subsidiary by merging three earlier companies — Kaken (1962), Angel (1982), and B-AI (1989). Headquartered in Taito, Tokyo. Operates inside the Bandai Namco group. Best known for the Portrait of Pirates premium 1/8 scale One Piece figure series, plus the GEM (Gokai Excellent Model) line, the Variable Action and Variable Action Heroes articulated lines, the LookUp chibi-format line, and a long catalog of trading-figure and capsule-toy work.
