About this figure family
Konami's own prize brand, the crane-game label for its in-house worlds, Yu-Gi-Oh above all, plus beatmania, Tokimeki Memorial, Metal Gear and more, alongside licensed anime. Unified under one name around 2023, it spans realistic card-monster figures, transparent-cube 'Fig Cube' figures, and a wide run of prize goods.
Konami Prize Collection is the rare prize brand run by the company that owns the source material. Where most crane-game figures come from third-party makers licensing someone else's characters, Konami stocks its arcades with its own catalogue, Yu-Gi-Oh first and foremost, but also beatmania IIDX and pop'n music, Tokimeki Memorial, Metal Gear and Silent Hill, Powerful Pro Yakyuu, Bombergirl. It pulled these together under one prize-collection banner around 2023, and rounds the slate out with licensed anime like Bungo Stray Dogs and Touhou.
Within it sit several figure sub-lines worth knowing. Realistic Yu-Gi-Oh card-monster figures, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Dark Magician, Magician's Valkyria, render famous cards as standing pieces, with a Monsters LEGION run for the Egyptian Gods. Fig Cube seals smaller figures inside a clear display cube. Cover Visual recreates a manga's cover art in three dimensions. The brand also leans heavily on plush, acrylic stands and other prize goods, so the figures sit inside a much larger merch program.
For collectors the draw is access: these are the official Konami figures of characters and monsters that other makers simply cannot produce, pulled straight from the company's own arcades. Yu-Gi-Oh is the throughline, but the brand reaches across Konami's whole back catalogue, which is what makes it worth tracking.
