About this figure family
Konami began in 1969 as a jukebox rental shop in Osaka, started by three men whose names make up the company's; it pivoted to arcade games and grew into a video-game giant. Konami Holdings is the parent over that empire.
Konami began with a jukebox. In March 1969, three men in Toyonaka, Osaka, Kagemasa Kozuki, Yoshinobu Nakama, and Tatsuo Miyasako, started a business renting and repairing jukeboxes, and stitched their names together into Konami. When the jukebox trade faded in the early 1970s the company turned to building electro-mechanical arcade machines, and from there into one of the defining names in video games. Konami Holdings is the parent company that now sits over that empire, the corporate roof above the group's games, amusement, and gaming-machine businesses, with Kozuki its chairman decades on.
