ARTPLA comes from one of the most revered names in the hobby. Kaiyodo, founded in Osaka in 1964 and famous for the Yamaguchi-style revolver joint that powers its Revoltech figures, for its Capsule Q museum miniatures, and for natural-history replicas detailed enough for actual museums, built its reputation on sculpting before anything else. ARTPLA is the company's plastic-model-kit line, where that sculptor's eye is turned toward buildable kits of biological subjects, vehicles, and characters a modeler assembles and finishes. The line carries the Kaiyodo hallmark of accuracy and artistry into a format the builder completes by hand.
