About this figure family
FuRyu's large-format bunny-girl prize line, the kind you win from an arcade crane game rather than preorder. It started with a Hatsune Miku in late 2020 and turned into one of the most prolific prize series going, the same characters reissued in endless colorways and spun off into BiCute Dark, Pure, and Ribbons.
BiCute is FuRyu's bunny-girl prize line, and the word prize matters: these are amusement-exclusive figures, the large pieces that turn up in arcade crane games rather than on a preorder page. It opened in December 2020 with a Hatsune Miku in a white bunny outfit, a costume designed by the illustrator rurudo, and Miku has stayed the line's anchor ever since. FuRyu pitches the series on volume and theme more than restraint, sexy and cute in equal measure at a size well above the usual prize figure, and that billing has held up across hundreds of releases.
What makes BiCute unmistakable on a shelf is how it works a character. A single sculpt comes back again and again in new finishes, white and pearl and red and blue and baby pink, so a popular figure like Re:Zero's Rem or Sword Art Online's Asuna ends up existing in a small rainbow of versions. The license net is wide and leans on the franchises a bunny suit suits: Super Sonico, Kaguya-sama, Overlord's Albedo and Shalltear, Chainsaw Man's Makima and Power, Date A Live, the Quintessential Quintuplets sisters. Costumes come from named illustrators, rurudo most visibly, alongside Kurehito Misaki, Anmi and others, which gives the line a designed look rather than a generic one.
As it grew, BiCute stopped being a single line. The bunny figures kept the BiCute Bunnies name, and the brand branched into named offshoots, a darker-toned BiCute Dark, a BiCute Pure, and a ribbon-themed BiCute Ribbons, each taking the same glamorous template somewhere a little different. The result is less a product line than a small ecosystem under one name, still shipping new characters and new colorways month after month out of the crane games it was built for.
