About this figure family
Flame Toys launched in 2016 making high-end Transformers; Furai Model is its accessible kit line, Voyager-sized Gunpla-style snap kits, no paint required.
Flame Toys started in 2016 with a bold pitch, high-end Transformers for grown-up collectors, made by a Japanese and Hong Kong team working at a level the official toys rarely reached. Its premium Kuro Kara Kuri line piles on die-cast and LED lighting, but Furai Model is the accessible doorway, articulated, non-transforming model kits sized like a Voyager-class Gunpla, molded in colored plastic with foil stickers so they finish without paint. Built around Transformers characters as posable static display pieces, the line has since reached out to G.I. Joe and Power Rangers. A Furai kit asks the builder for an afternoon and returns a robot that poses like a figure but reads like a model.
